in love

Is it possible to be in love with a pair of Dr. Martens 1460 boots? Because I think I'm am.

If only the $125 price tag didn't come with it... We'd have been joined long ago. The color is plain down perfect and I love the white stitching on the sole. Ahhh!!! I want it so badly.. Too bad my $20 a week job says I can't afford this. Blahh.

Oh yeah, it also turns out that I DIDN'T sign up for Vogue so I DON'T get more stuff to look at. More blahh.

feeling lazy

It's been about a week now.. and I'm thinking I should post something. Even though I'm suppose to be doing my homework right now, instead I've been browsing through my all time favorite fashion blog, The Sartorialist (Click on it! Ahh. I love tagging). I'm not sure whether I should be glad that I'm learning more about fashion, or mad at myself for procrasinating. Hmm.

I had to clean my room this morning, and as usual, it was quite epic. I made a couple new fits (outfits) and took some pics. However, I can't find the camera card reader thing (my computer savvy-self speaking) that hooks up to the computer. Sooo, for today you just get to read my uninteresting ramblings. Woopee!

vogue and grace coddington

Last night my mum and I watched The September Issue (directed by R.J. Cutler) and it was absolutely amazing. It sort of made me realize what a crazy world the Fashion industry is... but it was a great eye-opener as well. Grace Coddington is my official hero. As my mum said, she was sort of a grump, and rather whiny as well, but her creative sense is truly incredible. She did 3 shoots in just a couple of weeks for this issue, and every single one was AMAZING. I especially loved the 1920's themed shoot.

Aren't they stunning??

I just subscribed to Vogue (accidentally actually..) so now I'll get more stuff to look at. **jumps for joy and runs in a little circle**

premiere? pilot? i don't know...

Hello everyone! My name is Madi, and I am 15 years old. I haven't had very much exposure to fashion, but recently I've been really getting into it. Therefore, I decided to be brave and start my own "fashion blog." Hopefully I won't just be reading it by myself.... or get nasty remarks from my mother like Julie Powell. Anyway, I'm from a little town in Pennsylvania, that is just popping with amazing fashion. In case you couldn't tell that that was sarcastic, it was. Most people belong to the "oh I just want to be comfortable so I'll wear sweat pants, sneakers, and a t-shirt with a frumpy sweater" club and often join the "I hate good fashion" as well. Don't get me wrong, I don't believe this is necessarily bad or anything, its just that I have quite a difficult time finding people who enjoy clothing as much as I do.

As for my fashion sense- I love vintage items and anything new and different. Fashion to me is when someone takes their life and their surroundings and mashes them together to create something new, something unique. Fashion can be taken from everywhere and everything, you just have to look hard enough and keep an open mind. Ok, I'm starting to sound all deep and philosophical. (HELP!)

My goal is to post something at least once a week, and hopefully two times, if I can get around to it. I'll be talking about what NOT to wear, catalogues that come in my mail, new fashion collections, other bloggers, and general life experiences that have anything to do with style. I have a flickr account, and if I can figure it out, I'll start posting pictures of myself on here as well.

Well, I have a million things I want to say, but I think my attempt to constrain my fingers is working... so far.
